There is new normal, whether we accept it or defy it!
We don’t need to put a brave face on the pandemic launched anxieties, but one thing we can be certain of, as we continue to deal with it is that patience and good humour will sail us thru it. See the lighter side in this rotten pandemic menagerie, be observant, practice and trust me you will not only amuse yourself but so many other’s looking for that laugh or a sly smile resonating with the situation. You were stuck in a rut in that job, tired of the drive, no work-life balance now be grateful if you are employed else treat this as a vacation to rejuvenate, learn new skills. Worrying will not take you places, it will make you look and feel lousy. Enough research and papers have been written on impact on stress and anxiety.
Why not take inspiration from an artist @breathemart, Anish Biswas put all your angst in art and allow it to leave you feeling elated, it is on paper not in you anymore. God! It does look frighteningly good maybe you should explore art to de-stress those nerves.
The co-passengers too will enjoy the ride, when you narrate a poem you wrote, cherish that cartoon sketch you made or better still be in splits when you perform that parody. Don’t be regimental draw from the environment and emotions, search for stories you want to author. Don’t let the pandemic rob you of your time, burn brighter than ever, your mind is not your prison it is burning with desire, only you can give it shape the best that you can.
Anish isn’t bound by the traditional mediums, his canvas apart from being made of fabric, paper or digital is many a times some walls, small objects or reorienting objects that he gives new meaning to. As an artist he doesn’t feel bound but likes to create afresh.
Sit if you must, with your hands, legs, big toes all knotted up but know that getting up from that position is best done soon, else it hurts. Also as Richard Bach very aptly said “There is no such things as a problem without a gift for you in its hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts” Stop being so greedy or stop complaining!
At Breathe we celebrate individuality and self-expression in the most pure forms, it is all about your attitude. Art is not to be just flaunted on the walls in your living rooms. It’s more potent like music, literature; it has the power to connect with one on varied levels. Stay classy and sassy with flaunt worthy art@Breathemart. Tell us how you destress during the pandemic at narrator@fables.co.in
